This easy all-purpose seasoning recipe is one of my make your own homemade spice blends recipes. Making your own seasonings are a great way to save some cash.

This all purpose seasoning blend is cheaper to make at home. Why pay $6-7 dollars for a tiny bottle of something you can make yourself? This spice mix helps bring out the natural flavor in so many foods and elevates everything from pork chops and steaks, to chicken breasts and soups. It is also great on pasta salad and potato salad.

Homemade seasoning blends allow you to control the amount of sodium and spice that works for your family, and you can reduct the added sugar that is in many store-bought blends.

How to make All purpose Seasoning Blend

Step 1 – Combine all spices into a large bowl.

Step 2 – I like to add the salt last so I can control how much I like to add. You can also use a light salt or salt substitute if you like.

Step 3 – Blend well with a small whisk or fork.

Step 4 – Your everyday seasoning is ready to use! Store in an airtight container.

  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon coriander
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

    Wonderful recipe with spices being a little high in the stores I like that I can add less salt than the recipe calls for.
